Cha’Ann Kennels

Cha’Ann Kennels is the dog side of the sporting life — where the notebook’s bird dogs are raised, started, and finished on wild birds. The dogs carry names from rappers, songs, and pieces of the culture, because they belong out here. So do I. So do you.

Most of what I know about patience, pressure, and trust I learned standing behind these dogs. This chapter will hold the kennel — the string, the litters, the training days, and the lessons that come with them.
